Hello folks, this is my first ever post on the esteemed Q-BIT blog.....hope it adds to your knowledge arsenal !!!
Al Shugart... One of the foundrs of seagate, below is the seagate logo. Their first product ws a 5 mb HDD, n was termed as a 'mini floppy' drive. And on right is a Floppy disk drive.
The logo is that of Seagate Technologies, whose co-founder is Alan Shugart(in pic). The ST-506 is a 5.25 inch form hard disk drive, the first of its kind introduced by Seagate.
The connect that I was actually looking for is Alan Shugart whose Shugart Associates developed the floppy disk technology. He was also the CEO of Seagate Technology during which the company went from strength to strength.
