Brand Equity Quiz - 2011 Pune Edition


Its been raining quizzes here in Pune.The Westin hosted the Pune edition of Brand Equity Quiz,2011. Derek O Brien conducted the quiz. Ramanand has posted the questions from the prelims here. I have posted here the questions from the finals except the ones from the buzzer round. Infosys did superbly in the buzzer round to beat us and finally qualify for the National finals. Final standings for the quiz:

Another Puma trivia - Puma was initially named Ruda by Rudi Dassler in a similar fashion as his brother Adi Dassler who called his company Adidas. Credit to both of them for starting two giants of the fashion & sports industry with a whopping $10+ billion in annual revenues combined together!!!

AIMA 11th National Management Quiz for Corporates-Mumbai Finals

Continuing from where I left in my last post which covered the prelims round of this quiz.I couldn't qualify for the finals so what I could do next was to sit there,enjoy the quiz as a Q-BIT correspondent :P and win some audience prizes.Barring a handful of questions,the finals by quizmaster Jacob Kurian didn't match up to the questions in prelims.Tata Capital team(Govind Grewal & Preeti Shankar) or the Anjaana Anjaani team as it was named led from the beginning to finally win the quiz with almost double the score of the team coming second i.e. the Hero Honda team.I did win 4 Kit-Kats as an audience prize in a quiz that had an entry fee of Rs 7000 only :P.The quiz was followed by lunch(Chalo thoda to paisa vasool hua).While we enjoyed the lunch there,you enjoy the finals here.

Daily Trivia #388:Family Business

Pic 1 was the first book written by none other than Dan Brown, who was featured on the TIME magazine list of influential people in 2005(pic 2). Two movies based on his works "The da Vinci Code"(pic3) & "Angels & Demons" have been directed by Ron Howard(pic5) under the banner of Columbia Pictures(pic 4). Hence the connection is DAN BROWN !!!
