A couple of close answers, but what I was looking for in particular is this :
The waterfall - Athirapally Falls
Santosh Sivan [Bottom Left pic] was the cinematographer for Roja & Dil Se
and Rajeev Menon[Right pic] for Guru and Bombay.
Songs in these movies have all been shot at this waterfall - Jiya jale(Dil Se), Barso Re(Guru), and recently, a sizeable chunk of the movie, Raavan.
