Summer Quest !

                                           

               

 Overview :

Starting 1st May 2013 at 7 p.m., Qbit Summer Quest brings you two months of intense brain (w)racking. The Quest for Truth has always been a mover of great minds, and Summer Quest promises to incorporate every bit of that !

Rules :

1. An active leader-board will be maintained, which we will update every Sunday. 

2. We are looking at 3 to 4 questions per week, plus a bonus question on Sundays.

3. The correct answer, together with complete explanation will be posted after sufficient time.

4. The title of the question and/or the URL of the images we put up can be hints, so watch out !

5. The scoring methodology is similar to previous Qbit blog quizzes and is given below.

6. Speed matters: The questions will mostly be googleable, so the faster you post your answer, more chances of you winning ! 

7. Prizes (cash and/or Qbit merchandise) for top 5 finishers. Also, prizes for highest scorer of every week.

8. No matter what happens, believe in God (particularly Lord Brahma !), believe in Us.

Scoring :

The methodology of calculating the points scored is as follows:
1. The questions will be rated on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is cakewalk and 5 is a gut-wrencher.
2. Each rating point is worth 10 points, so a question rated 4 is worth 40 points.
3. The points are divided by the number of correct answers to give the average score, say the number of correct answers is 5, so the average is 8 points.
4. The first person gets the maximum points, then the average points are subtracted for each subsequent answer. In our example, the first person gets 40, the next gets (40-8)=32, then (32-8)=24 and so on.
5. All decimals are rounded off.
