Well, this is not a quiz conducted under QBIT's banner. The quiz was to commemorate Seuli, who died in a fire incident on Founder's Day in Jamshedpur.
The target audience was kids in standard V, VI and VII. Though we were a bit apprehensive while preparing the quiz whether the kids will be able to answer or not, we were left dumbstruck by the response received.
20 Teams from schools all over Jamshedpur participated with each team having 4 members. The prelims were closely contested with highest score being 14 and two teams battling for the 6th spot with a score of 11. Tie was broken using Sudden Death.
In the end, Loyola School took the trophy home beating Sacred Heart School in tie-breakers(Sudden Death).
The final standings were:
1st: Loyola School (60 pts + Tie Breakers)
2nd: Sacred Heart School (60 pts)
3rd: Jamshedpur Public School (40 pts)
Rest: Carmel Junior, DBMS English School and Little Flower School
Jamshedpur schools have a very strong quizzing culture. The audience was quick to point out that they didn't like the quiz since there were not enough questions for them. ;)
