ReplyDeleteAkshay Kumar plays the lead role in the movie. The case marked the end of trials by jury in India. The incident took place in Bombay.
Commander KM Nanavati's case where his wife confessed to have affairs with his friend Prem Ahuja and Nanavati killed him.

ReplyDeleteThe answer is the K M Nanavati vs the state of Maharashtra case of 1959 after which jury trials were abolished in India. The movie Rustom, featuring Akshay Kumar, was loosely based on this real life case.
ReplyDeleteAnybody who mentions Nanavati will get points. Sadly, only mentioning Rustom without the inclusion of Nanavati case in the answer, wont be considered correct.
