ReplyDeleteName Omission/Alteration/Edition: Rajeev Gandhi IIM Shillong had Rajiv Gandhi's name dropped vide a regulation issued in 2009, Aurangzeb Road was renamed APJ Abdul Kalam Maarg, India's Pokhran Nuclear Test and the device therein were codenamed Smiling Buddha and referred so. Addiitonally, in the film the orignal characters had there names changed.
ReplyDeleteThe New Delhi Municipal Council has decided to change the name of this Central Delhi road in honor of APJ Abdul Kalam whose efforts in the Indian space agency inspired the movie Parmanu and he passed away during his final speech at IIM Shillong
ReplyDeleteNames changed: RAJIV GANDHI IIM SHILLONG DROPPED RAJIV GANDHI FROM ITS NAME VIDE A 2007 CIRCULAR, AURANGZEB ROAD WAS CHANGED TO APJ ABDUL KALAM ROAD AND REAL LIFE PEOPLE HAD NAMES CHANGED TO CHARACTERS IN THE MOVIE POKHRAN . ALSO, POKHRAN-II WAS CODENAMED OPERATION SHAKTI

ReplyDeleteThe Answer is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He was closely associated with the Pokhran II Testing; Aurangzeb Road was renamed in his memory and he breathed his last at IIM Shillong.
