After what seemed to be an era I finally got to participate in a general quiz Quizzotica hosted by Odisha Engg College. The huge prize pool of 90k pumped me up but to my utter dismay I couldn't find a partner. Buoyed by the hope of getting a partner on the venue owing to my advantage of speaking Odia I reached there 45 mins earlier(contrary to my persistent latecoming in quizzes with Gautham H :P). But I was amazed by the turn up which was 500+ already given the fact that it had a 200/- entry fee. I roamed around the venue keeping an eye on any lonewolf like me. Suddenly a rejuvenated short-haired Mudaliar(whom initially I thot 2 be his brother/cousin ) caught my eye. For starters he's the long running quizmaster of Gnosiomania quizzes where QBIT was a regular customer. I've to admit that my spirits got a bit dampened after I saw a prominent quizmaster as a participant along with me; nevertheless I was also happy that Bhubaneswar is now attracting quizzers from around the country :) Then I saw a few other celebrated quizmasters Mr. Kamal Rathi, JK etc. By this time I knew that I would be a mute observer & reviewer for that matter as I couldn't find a partner. I chose a quite corner and waited there for the quiz to start & with it some excitement. As the venue was a nice hotel, accounting to its reservation afterwards the organizers were right on time to start the quiz.
