ReplyDeleteANSWER: : The answer is Martha Gellhorn, the only woman who landed in Normandy on D-DAY in June 1944. She was an American War correspondent for Collier’s Magazine and was the third wife of the novelist Ernest Hemingway. She also briefly worked at the Paris bureau of United Press.
